Favorite Fall Colors with Happy Shaadi Seattle

Hello Mango Bungalow readers! This is Rachel from Happy Shaadi Seattle writing today to talk about fall colors. Fall fashion colors that is! I’ll be honest with you when I say that fall colors don’t often spark the kind of vibrant or exciting feelings I love about my favorite color palette, but this year’s Pantone fashion forecast has really brought the vibrancy onto the fall fashion (and wedding) scene. And I’m excited to share with you some of my favorites.

Biscay Bay

First off, let’s talk about teal. How completely gorgeous is Biscay Bay? In my opinion, it’s the perfect shade. If I could deck my home out in this color without breaking the bank (or scaring my husband), I’m pretty sure I would. I love the look it creates when paired with metallic and other vibrant colors. It feels so alive and yet sophisticated at the same time. I imaging wearing this color while dancing the night away somewhere tropical, and I love the idea of bringing that feeling into my everyday fashion and home décor. That’s what’s great about color, it transports us!

Here are a couple more examples of Biscay Bay in the wild.

Reflecting Pond

Now, I’ll bet you didn’t think that a navy would make the list of my favorite colors, but when you get a good look at the really unique shade of blue that Reflecting Pond brings, I couldn’t help but admire it. It’s like a purplish gray navy that has a surprising amount of depth and character given that so often navy is considered a business-like neutral. But accessorize this color with silver or antique gold and it really comes to life with an almost iridescent look. I can’t wait to see what brides and fashionistas come up with.

Here are a few looks that I love in Reflecting Pond.

Marsala

Unless you’ve been living under the proverbial rock this past year, you’ll have seen Marsala praised as the color of 2015. It’s popping up everywhere from bridal magazines to interior design programs and there’s a good reason for it too. Marsala is a sophisticated and subtle brick red that is endlessly adaptable. It was both a spring and fall color, though to be honest I prefer the look in the cooler months (here in the U.S. at least). I like the warmth Marsala brings to a color palette. It’s a lot like the feeling you get curling up by the fire with a hot cup of tea and a good book. It fits in perfectly with our ideal fall colors. But at the same time, it’s lively and sophisticated.

Here are a couple examples of how I like to style Marsala in the fall.
