Recently I saw these beautiful Kate Spade glitter earrings at Nordstrom.
They cost $38, which isn’t terrible for a Kate Spade product, but still seems like a lot to pay for stud earrings. A few days later, I was adding a glitter coat to my nails, and I came up with the idea for this DIY project. Just add glitter nail polish to some cheap stud earrings, and you have the perfect DIY Kate Spade-inspired earrings!
Here is how mine turned out….
1 – You will need a pair of cheap square stud earrings. I got these at Forever 21 for $3; another great option is these $8 earrings from Nordstrom.
2 – I used 3 colors of glitter nail polish I already had at home (Butter London in Rosie Lee, Sephora OPI in Only Gold for Me, and ELF in chic confetti).
3 – First, I added 2 coats of the Butter pink glitter nail polish. Be careful to avoid getting nail polish on the prongs. If you do, just wipe it off before it dries. Here is how the first color looked:
5 – After the multi-color glitter dried, I added 2 coats of the Sephora OPI gold glitter nail polish:
That’s it! It’s so easy and inexpensive to make these Kate Spade-inspired earrings! They’re so chic and will be perfect for the holidays. Try making some as gifts for your friends. I hope you enjoyed this DIY project!
